When choosing a chastity cage for long term wear it is vital that the fit is comfortable - this may take some trial and error.
I would always recommend investing in a custom made cage and there are two brands I like for these. Red Chili and Steelwerks (if you have experience with other companies do let Me know). I will link their websites below so you can have a look at them yourself. They are well worth the investment as they are designed for long term wear and are made of high quality materials and therefore should not have any imperfections that will make them sore or rust easily. Their reviews speak for themselves. I have also been told Red Chili cages are extremely comfortable to wear compared to the cheaper alternatives that are available. I have also been told that BehindBarz belts are a very comfortable option. They wouldn't be My preference though.
Metal cages generally are best for long term wear as they are more hygienic. Plastic/ silicone cages can get sweaty and also do not allow for proper cleaning/ drying on a daily basis. They can retain heat which causes swelling issues and plastic is not as durable of a material as metal is as it will degrade. Luckily metal cages are much nicer looking!
For hygiene purposes generally open cage metal designs are best as they allow for more throughout cleaning and are more practical when using the bathroom.
When sizing for a chastity cage this must be done when whilst flaccid. If the cage is too big or small it will be uncomfortable. A lot of subs who I have talked to who have been put off chastity have only tried with cages that don't fit which isn't a proper assessment. you should not allow room for your erect penis as this contradicts the purpose of the cage and can be more uncomfortable actually. The ring size and shape also plays a role in getting a good fit. Generally oval shaped is better than a round ring for comfort and fit. If it is too small it will cut circulation and this will obviously lead to problems. If it is too big it will move about and this is uncomfortable, it may also slide off which is again a contradiction. So getting a good fit is vital in long term success.
you can try cheaper alternatives to see which style/ fit works best but the end goal should be to invest in a good cage.
I obviously much prefer to have the keys kept around My neck as a symbol and reminder. I enjoy teasing with the keys and having them in My possession will always be the goal but in some instances this is not practical.
There are several ways to work chastity at a distance. Firstly there are lock boxes available which work across wifi. I have personally used the DreamLover Labs Chronovault and can attest to it's reliability and quality as a lock box. There is a newer lock box on the market by a brand called 'Research and Desire' which also seems to get good reviews however it would need trialled to test it's reliability. The Cell Mate gets a lot of bad reviews so I personally would avoid it. I like physically having control and locking so these are good options in lieu of Me physically having the keys. Alternatively there are plastic locks available with serial numbers included; these can be removed and replaced with a new one and the serial number which is sent to Me allows Me to check it has only been replaced when specified or in an emergency. I personally really dislike these and for longer term use they are not that environmentally friendly either! Another alternative is to have Me keep one key to wear and then the other is kept in a sealed envelop or something similar which I can check to see if it has been opened and discipline accordingly if needed. Chastity is much more effective when all temptation is removed.
